Satin Ribbons

 Satin is a very general term that can be applied
 to virtually any shiny faced fabric such as:
 acetate, polyester, nylon, silk, rayon and polypropylene.

We have satin ribbons in several fabrics.

Satin ribbons are of two versions:
1)  Single-faced:  shiny on one side
2)  Double-faced:  shiny on both sides

Acetate Satin
This is the fairly stiff ribbon used primarily by florists for
it's ability to make a very good bow.  It is single faced.
It is "cut edged", meaning  it has been cut with a hot knife to prevent fraying.

Polyester Satin (wired & non wired)
This is a softer, higher quality ribbon than acetate.
 It is available as single-faced or double-faced.
Both are "finished" edge to prevent fraying.

Waterproof Satin
This is made from polypropylene (plastic).
It is double-faced.  It is the most economical of our ribbons.
It is waterproof, curlable, and can be shredded.
For exterior use this is by far and away the best ribbon.
It is fairly stiff, makes excellent bows and cannot fray.
With an embossed finished it has the appearance of woven fabric.
